The exhaust pipe tunnel of a motor vehicle is the recess in the chassis that houses the exhaust pipes. The metal pipes transmit heat, causing the surrounding air to overheat.
A lot of heat and little ventilation
The exhaust pipes of a motor vehicle quickly become hot due to the gases that flow through them pushed by the combustion inside the engine. Since the tubes are made of metal, this heat is rapidly transmitted to the surrounding air and to the chassis which leads it into the passenger compartment. The pilot feels the air around him heating up rapidly making breathing and movement difficult and this negatively impacts his performance.
Accumulation of heat in the passenger compartment
Warm up of the pilot
Decrease in pilot performance
Reduced pilot concentration
Teknofibra® heat-reflecting panel
The tunnel can be covered with the Teknofibra® thermo-reflective panel. Its adhesive layer sticks perfectly to the car frame and being extremely flexible, it can be shaped at will to adapt it to any shape and shape. The accumulated heat is not transmitted to the chassis and consequently is not accumulated inside the passenger compartment. The Teknofibra® thermo-reflective adhesive panel is ideal for shielding metal parts from heat in very little thickness. The heat inside the cockpit is significantly reduced, giving the driver more breathing space allowing him better concentration. Thanks to the lightness of the Teknofibra® adhesive thermo-reflective panel and thanks to its reduced thickness, the performance of the vehicle is not affected and the space inside the tunnel of the exhaust pipes remains large.
Heat generated by the exhaust pipes is reflected
Reduced temperature inside the passenger compartment
Better comfort for the pilot
Better driver performance
