Insulating the airbox with Teknofibra allows less hot and therefore denser air to be drawn in, improving combustion efficiency and engine performance.
Air too hot and not dense enough
There are several parameters that affect the performance of the engine. The temperature of the air drawn into it is one of these parameters. Hot air is less dense and contains less oxygen than cold air, optimizing the stoichiometric ratio of the mixture injected into the engine and consequently the combustion. The component placed between the engine and the external air is the airbox. This element is usually placed immediately above the engine as it is affected by the heat coming from the underlying high temperature components. The airbox is mostly completely enveloped by rising air, heated by the engine.
Introduction of less dense air
Less oxygen for combustion
Loss of engine performance
Teknofibra® heat-reflecting panel
To significantly reduce the temperature of the air that arrives inside the engine, it is essential to properly isolate the airbox. The Teknofibra® thermo-reflective panel is the ideal product to achieve this purpose. The Teknofibra® thermo-reflective panel makes it possible to isolate the airbox from both the hot air coming from the engine, the heat radiated by the high temperature parts and that transmitted by hot components on which it could rest. The Teknofibra® thermo-reflective panel allows to reduce the temperatures of the airbox and consequently allows less hot and dense air to be injected into the engine, thus increasing its performance. The Teknofibra® thermo-reflective panel is similar to a fabric and its enormous flexibility allows you to cover the airbox regardless of its shape.
Air introduced into the engine denser
More oxygen to promote combustion
Better engine performance
Thin and lightweight
